Emerging Leader Program is a division of Student Government Association that focuses on building leadership skills while networking students with campus, city, and state leaders. This program is designed to further the development of the Illinois State University’s future leaders by refining their current leadership abilities, helping them establish a leadership philosophy, and instilling in them a commitment to the campus and community.
Applications for this program are closesd for the 2022-2023 school year.

Step 2: Email your application to Student Body Vice President Grant Chassy, or drop it off in the Student Services Building room 375.
This program is geared towards freshmen but is open to any student who demonstrates the potential for leadership positions and service to the University community.
Meetings: There are two meetings of the Emerging Leaders Program each month. The duration of each meeting is one hour. Mentees and mentors are required to attend.
Student Government Association: Mentees shall attend at least three Student Government Association General Assembly meetings as a requirement of participating in the Emerging Leaders Program.
Mentor-Mentee Advisement Meetings: Mentees shall meet weekly with their mentor for at least one hour.
Availability: Mentees must be available from 6:00pm-7:00pm on Mondays for Emerging Leaders Program meetings. Other scheduling, such as Mentor-Mentee Advisement Meetings, shall be left to the discretion of mentors and mentees to schedule.
