Constitution

The Constitution is the official document authorizing Student Government Association to be the voice of the student body. This document:

• Outlines basic structure of SGA
• Outlines the powers of each branch
• Student Bill of Rights

Bylaws

Bylaws provide more detail on roles and responsibilities of each branch, voting procedures, committee descriptions, and highlights types of legislation.

SGA is divided into two groups: the Executive branch and the Legislative branch. Both have their own Bylaws.

The Executive Branch is comprised of three officers elected by the student body at large:

• Student Body President
• Student Body Vice President
• Chief of Staff

They are supported by eight Cabinet members, or Secretaries.

The Legislative Branch is known as the Senate, and is comprised of twenty Senators who elect their own leadership.
The Officers of the Legislative branch are:

• President of the Assembly
• Vice President of the Assembly
• Secretary of the Assembly
